Job summary

SL Tennessee seeks an Assembly Supervisor to oversee the production team, schedules, and equipment in an automotive setting. You will supervise employees, analyze rejections, and ensure on-time delivery of the production plan while upholding quality standards.

The role requires coordinating training, leading problem solving teams, and maintaining safety, inventory integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives within the area.

Qualifications

• 2-3 year supervisory experience in automotive environment.
• Prefer college degree; advanced degree desirable.
• Ability to interact with hourly employees and management.
• Basic understanding of inventory practices.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Proven leadership, problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality and environmental systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production department resources, schedules and equipment.
• Supervise employees.
• Participate in analysis of product rejections.
• Assure completion of the production schedule.
• Provide support and training to employees.
• Participate in problem solving teams.
• Ensure quality by monitoring requirements and criteria.
• Enforce area procedures and instructions.
• Monitor process reliability.
• Respond to customer complaints.
