Job summary

Menk USA is seeking a motivated Welder to join our manufacturing team on 3rd Shift. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on transformer components while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, cutting with oxy-fuel equipment, inspecting welds with precision tools, and ensuring adherence to production schedules. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of welding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of welding/manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and weld symbols.

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel components according to drawings and work instructions.
• Operate oxy-fuel/torch cutting equipment to cut, repair, and modify materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and production documentation.
• Inspect finished welds using precision measuring instruments for dimensional accuracy.
• Repair defective welds and replace components as needed.
• Maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and 5S housekeeping.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Operate oxy-fuel/torch cutting equipment to cut, repair, and modify materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and production documentation.
• Inspect finished weldments using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Repair defective welds and replace components as needed.
• Maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Experience using oxy-fuel/torch cutting equipment.
• Ability to accurately perform dimensional measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Experience

• One to two years of manufacturing and/or welding experience preferred.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
