Job Description:
- This position will be responsible to implement and support high-fidelity computational pipeline monitoring CPM and Operator Training Simulator OTS applications on the oil and gas pipelines using sophisticated Realtime transient models RTTM
- Candidate will be working on design configuration tuning and testing of pipeline hydraulic model-based leak detection systems and operator training simulators
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and lead a team of engineers both at onsite and offshore
Key Responsibilities:
- Design configure and tune hydraulic models for pipeline systems using industry standard leak detection and operator training simulator software packages
- Development and review of project documentation including the functional design specification acceptance test procedures and custom user documentation
- Work directly with clients to understand their requirements need and provide accurate solutions
- Participate in testing activities with client
- Provide guidance to other project engineers and work in coordination with other project implementation teams
- Participate in development of standard procedures and training for End-users
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering chemical mechanical petroleum
- Experience working with pipeline simulation software for the Oil and Gas pipeline industry
- Experience with industry standard leak detection software packages is required Experience with Energy Solutions International ESI Emerson Pipeline Manager is mandatory Familiarity with DNVGL SPS Schneider Electric Sim Suite Atmos PIPE or similar leak detection systems will be considered an added advantage
- Knowledge of SCADA systems instrumentation and process control
- Understand the regulatory requirements for Leak Detection Systems and Operator Training Simulator Ability to develop small applications using SQL and a standard programming language
- Ability to develop project plans and coordinate with team members to complete the deliverables
- Must be willing and able to travel as required.
