Job summary

LTIMindtree is seeking a Midstream Pipeline Advanced Leak Detection System Consultant to implement and support high-fidelity CPM and OTS on oil and gas pipelines using RTTM.

You will design and tune hydraulic models, develop documentation, and work with clients to deliver accurate solutions while coordinating with engineers onsite and offshore. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum).
• 5+ years in pipeline simulation for oil & gas.
• 5+ years with leak detection software; experience with ESI Emerson Pipeline Manager required; familiarity with DNVGL SPS/Schneider/SIMSuite/Atmos PIPE is a plus.
• Knowledge of SCADA, instrumentation and process control.
• Understanding regulatory requirements for leak detection systems and operator training simulators.
• Ability to develop small apps using SQL and a programming language.
• Ability to develop project plans and coordinate with teams to deliver.
• Self-starter, able to lead engineers onsite and offshore.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Midstream Pipeline Advanced Leak Detection System Consultant

Responsible for implementing and supporting high‑fidelity computational pipeline monitoring (CPM) and Operator Training Simulator (OTS) applications on oil and gas pipelines using sophisticated real‑time transient models (RTTM).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and tune hydraulic models for pipeline systems using industry‑standard leak detection and operator training simulator software packages.
• Develop and review project documentation including functional design specifications, acceptance test procedures, and custom user documentation.
• Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and provide accurate solutions.
• Participate in testing activities with clients.
• Provide guidance to other project engineers and coordinate with implementation teams.
• Participate in developing standard procedures and training for end users.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum).
• At least 5 years of experience with pipeline simulation software for the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience with industry‑standard leak detection software packages; experience with Energy Solutions International (ESI) Emerson Pipeline Manager mandatory; familiarity with DNVGL SPS, Schneider Electric SimSuite, Atmos PIPE, or similar considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, instrumentation and process control.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for leak detection systems and operator training simulators.
• Ability to develop small applications using SQL and a standard programming language.
• Ability to develop project plans and coordinate with team members to complete deliverables.
• Self‑starter, able to work independently, and capable of leading a team of engineers both onsite and offshore.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
