Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with steam boilers, hydronic boilers, and volume water heating boilers.
• Skilled in wiring and commissioning boiler and mechanical equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and critical-thinking ability on burner and control problems.
• Able to work safely on physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable on the company vehicle policy.
• Lives within a reasonable commute of Chicago’s north side.

Responsibilities

• Handle no-heat and no-hot-water service calls and get buildings back online.
• Service boilers and volume water heaters over 2 million BTUs.
• Diagnose and repair atmospheric and forced-draft burner systems.
• Wire and commission control systems on commercial units.
• Inspect and maintain boilers, pumps, and water heaters.
• Follow safety protocols on every service and repair job.
