Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Manager in Training to learn all aspects of branch operations under experienced managers and executives. The trainee will assist with sales, budgets, staffing, and day-to-day management across locations, rotating to learn all company functions and policies.

The role offers exposure to all branch roles and responsibilities to prepare for future leadership. Candidates must be open to relocation and committed to developing leadership capabilities, process improvements,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
• At least 3 years in assistant management of a service, warehouse or construction branch

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of all branch operations and resource utilization
• Manage upkeep and condition of equipment, plant, fixtures
• Liaise with suppliers, merchandisers and partners
• Recruit, train and develop staff
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing and tactics
• Lead advertising and promotional strategy within budget
• Contribute to company strategy and policy development
• Oversee customer service activities and staff competency
• Control branch costs and overheads to ensure profitability
• Maintain safety requirements
• Provide paperwork to Corporate as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
