Job summary

Foundation Fighting Blindness seeks a Leadership Gift Officer to drive revenue growth and donor retention. You will manage a portfolio of 500+ prospects, craft tailored donor strategies, and steward donors via calls, emails, and surveys to advance toward major giving milestones.

You will target gifts from $1,000 to $9,999, aiming for $1,500–$2,500 per donor with a 5% annual bonus potential. This remote US role requires collaboration across teams and some travel for events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with constituent engagement and non-profit fundraising.
• Proven track record of soliciting gifts up to $10,000.
• Experience in donor stewardship and disciplined moves management.
• Ability to partner with staff, volunteers, donors and event staff to create giving opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills and strong ethics regarding donor confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 500+ prospects and donors, targeting gifts of $1,000–$9,999.
• Develop donor strategies, follow-up, and stewardship to move donors forward.
• Cultivate new and existing donors to increase retention and giving.
• Engage donors via phone, email, social media, and surveys and record activity in CRM.
• Conduct a minimum of 200 personal virtual contacts monthly and track outcomes.
• Aim for an average gift of $1,500–$2,500 and secure at least 50% of requests each year.
• Collaborate with Prospect Research, Development Ops, Marketing, and Leadership.
• Partner with Community Manager and Vision Walk teams for local engagement.
• Review donor strategies quarterly and build the major gift pipeline.
• Provide timely follow-up and maintain fundraising metrics.
