The six‑month program includes six full‑day in‑person sessions, a half‑day capstone, and individual coaching to build supervisory readiness.

The facilitator leads an experiential curriculum, administers assessments, and provides debriefs and tailored coaching to support development and organizational impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and delivering leadership development programs.
• Experience facilitating in-person leadership training and coaching.

• Experience with strengths-based assessment tools (VIA or equivalent).
• Strong grounding in EI, team development, performance and change leadership.

Job description

McGarity Consulting Group seeks an experienced leadership development facilitator and coach to design and deliver the “Lead Forward” Leadership Development Program for a cohort of new and acting supervisors. The program runs approximately six months and consists of six full-day in-person sessions, a half-day capstone, and individual coaching, focused on building supervisory and leadership readiness. The facilitator leads delivery of a research-based, experiential curriculum and provides individualized coaching and assessment debriefs.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate six full-day (7–8 hour) in-person, interactive leadership development sessions and one half-day capstone, using experiential, discussion-based methods (not lecture)
• Deliver and customize content across the seven program modules: Leadership Launch / self-awareness; Emotional Competence & Resilience; Building Successful Teams; Getting Results / performance & accountability; Building a Culture of Learning; Leading & Adapting to Change; and a capstone leadership-learning presentation
• Administer and interpret validated assessments, including a strengths-based assessment (e.g., VIA Character Strengths) and a multi-rater emotional/social competency assessment (ESCI — Emotional and Social Competency Inventory), and conduct confidential individual debriefs
• Provide two individual coaching sessions per participant over the program duration, supporting individualized development plans
• Facilitate between-session check-ins, application activities, and peer feedback
• Guide participants in preparing and delivering capstone (Pecha Kucha-style) presentations
• Tailor examples and scenarios to a mission-driven, operational, and cross-functional environment
• Support evaluation and feedback collection; contribute to the final program summary

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and delivering leadership/supervisory development programs for professional or technical organizations
• Demonstrated experience facilitating experiential, in-person leadership training and executive/leadership coaching
• Certification to administer and interpret the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) — or a validated, equivalent multi-rater emotional-intelligence 360 the firm can propose in its place
• Experience with strengths-based assessment tools (VIA Character Strengths or equivalent)
• Strong grounding in emotional intelligence, team development, performance management, change leadership, and adult learning
• Master’s degree in a relevant field (leadership, OD, I/O psychology, education, HR, or related) preferred
• Available for in-person delivery in Cleveland, OH across the ~6-month program; U.S. work authorization

Preferred

• Coaching credential (ICF ACC/PCC or equivalent)
• Additional assessment certifications (Hogan, EQ-i 2.0, DiSC, Korn Ferry/Hay ESCI)
• Experience delivering to government, federal, or mission-driven technical workforces
• Backup/co-facilitator capacity for continuity
