Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a Leader, Material Logistics for its US Aerostructures unit. The role oversees material logistics operations, inventory control, and budget adherence in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Requirements include 7–8 years in material/logistics management, supervisory experience, and knowledge of FAA/TC regulations. You will lead teams, drive process improvements (Six Sigma), and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Adhere to General Work Requirements

  • Analyze and review monthly profit and loss statement to ensure department and/organization is within budget
  • Report cost analysis and status of time line projects to clearly identify progress and action plans to Director on a regular basis

  • Lead team to achieve the highest level of inventory accuracy as possible in order to support OTS (Off the Shelf) availability

How to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent Management related experience
  • 7-8 years of experience in material/logistics management with 3 years progressive supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of FAA /TC (Federal Aviation and Transport Canada) regulations
  • Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and web-based applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory management and material logistics key business processes and governances
  • Working knowledge of account and budgeting principals necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/9120 processes
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (Six Sigma)
  • Training skills necessary to provide instruction and education to employees in assigned area
  • Planning and organization skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of assigned area employees with a multiple project setting
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, organizations, and regulatory agencies
  • Business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to remain objective with business requirements and regulatory mandates
