Leader, Machinist – Night Shift

Grand Rapids, MI

Are you the machinist that others turn to when the setup is challenging, tolerances are tight, or a problem needs to be solved? ArtiFlex Manufacturing is looking for a hands‑on leader to guide our night shift machining team and play a key role in building world‑class stamping dies.

This is more than a machining or supervisory position—it's an opportunity to lead by example, mentor talented machinists, and help produce complex tooling that powers the automotive industry.

What You'll Do

• Lead night shift machining operations for large die components used in progressive, transfer, forming, and stamping dies.
• Review and optimize WorkNC CAM programs while supporting precision CNC machining from roughing through finish work.
• Partner with tool designers, engineers, and programmers to ensure components are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot machining challenges, improve processes, and maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Coach and support machinists on the floor, balancing technical expertise with day‑to‑day leadership to keep work moving safely and on schedule.
