Job summary

State of Utah is seeking a Lead Youth Development Specialist to supervise staff, provide counseling, and implement treatment plans for at-risk youth in Price, Utah. The role requires coordinating schedules, ensuring safety, and applying behavioral principles in daily operations.

You will work in-office at 1395 S South Carbon Ave, Price, UT 84501, and must complete the Integrated Crisis Response program within 90 days. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six years of paid work with troubled or at-risk youth.
• Six years of full-time education or a combination of education and experience to equal six years.
• A valid Utah Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and guides high risk/volatile youth with complex behavioral problems.
• Assesses client physical, mental, social and behavioral needs.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
• Conducts individual, family, or group counseling sessions per treatment plan.
• Supervises youth with complex behavioral needs.
• Writes court reports, parole summaries, treatment plans and supervision standards.
• Leads or supervises staff; assigns workloads and provides training.
