Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers in Moreno Valley is seeking a Lead Club Leader to serve as the on-site lead for after-school programs. You will be the primary point of contact for partners and parents, coordinate daily activities, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for students in TK–12th grade.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers 20–25 hours per week with hours 1:00 PM–5:00 PM or 6:00 PM, varying by location. The role is on-site, with training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office and school sites.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience working in expanded learning programs or youth recreational facilities.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED (AA in child development or related field preferred); prior experience with K-12 students in academic or recreational settings preferred.
• Ability to work well with young children and/or youth.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn.
• Valid live scan, TB clearance, and CPR certification.
• Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site Club Leader and primary point of contact for partner and parent communication.
• Immediate contact and response to support the program daily; ensure clear, timely communication.
• Remain accessible to families, school partners, and program support staff during program hours.
• Ensure students are in a safe environment and promote an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.
• Develop and lead age-appropriate program activities aligned with a whole-child approach.
• Monitor participant attendance and engagement for active participation.
