Job summary

Zuern Building Products, Inc. is seeking a Lead Yard Material Handler/Assistant Dispatcher in Wisconsin to lead daily yard and dispatch operations. You will coordinate deliveries, support inventory control, and mentor the yard team while upholding safety and service standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. We value reliability, a clean driving record, and a willingness to perform physical labor in outdoor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related education or building materials industry experience preferred.
• Prior lumberyard, construction materials, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
• Clean driving record; ability to lift up to 70 pounds; forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Support daily dispatch operations, including scheduling deliveries, returns, and route adjustments.
• Coordinate order pulling, staging, loading, and invoicing activities to support on-time deliveries.
• Serve as a communication link between sales, dispatch, drivers, and yard personnel.
• Assist with receiving, inventory management, cycle counts, and material transfers.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and secure yard environment.
• Verify order accuracy and ensure quality standards are met before loading.
• Assist customers with material loading and product pickup.
• Provide coverage for dispatch and yard operations as needed.
• Support and mentor team members while promoting safe work practices and operational excellence.
