Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Lead Wound Care Nurse for a full-time day shift (6:00 AM–2:00 PM). This role provides skilled wound assessment, treatment, and care planning within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an active Virginia RN or LPN license, with 2+ years in wound care in a long-term care setting; BLS CPR required; wound care certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Virginia RN or LPN license.
• Wound care certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ wound care experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident wound care per standards, orders, and care plans.
• Assess, treat, and monitor wounds with sound clinical judgment.
• Deliver wound care treatments based on resident needs and best practices.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents and families.
• Offer clinical guidance to nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and outcomes.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance for resident confidentiality.

Hiring:

Wound Care Nurse & Lead Wound Care Nurse!

SHIFT:

6:00AM - 2:00PM

Hourly Range: $33.00 – $36.00/hr (Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE

No Frills Program for Full-Time Employees: If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

Shift differential:

$1 for Evening and Night shifts on Weekdays
$3 for Evening and Night shifts on Weekends.

Responsibilities for Lead Wound Care Nurse:

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.
• Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.

Qualifications for Lead Wound Care Nurse:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
