The hourly wage is $23.85.
This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
This position may require the use of your personal vehicle to transport persons‑served. All Melwood transportation policies must be followed. Liability insurance on your personal vehicle must be in full force and effect while transporting for or on the behalf of Melwood. Melwood will reimburse for mileage pursuant to the Travel policy.
Under the supervision of the Custodial Foreman, performs those cleaning tasks necessary to meet custodial contract specifications and assists in the monitoring of the custodial crew's work.
The Lead Worker, Custodial, supervises the work crew in the absence of the Custodial Foreman.
The incumbent is supervised by the Custodial Foreman.
The incumbent must be able to stand or walk 90% of the work time; and sit 10%. They must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds in order to clean work areas and handle supplies and equipment. They must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach. These requirements are necessary for using ladders and stairs, cleaning low areas, high areas, benches and corners. They must be able to communicate with supervisors and coworkers; must good vision, with depth perception and ability to distinguish colors for safety reasons.
High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience in custodial work required. Valid driver's license is required. Some supervisory experience preferred. Prior experience with individuals with differing abilities preferred. Must be able to pass security clearance.
