Ascendo Resources in Jacksonville, FL is partnering with an established industrial technology company to hire a hands-on Lead Embedded Hardware Engineer. You will provide technical leadership for a small hardware team and stay deeply involved in circuit design, schematic development, PCB reviews, board bring-up, testing, debugging, and production support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and supporting embedded electronic products.
• Ownership of circuit design, schematic development, PCB revisions or reviews, and board bring-up.
• Experience with analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuitry using MCUs, sensors, power supplies, or wireless interfaces.
• Experience improving or sustaining released products via engineering changes and field support.
• Strong lab troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, DMM, and power supplies.
• Experience with manufacturing support, cross-functional teams, and supplier coordination.
• Ability to mentor others while remaining hands-on; proficiency with a professional schematic/PCB toolset.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware enhancements, revisions, and upgrades for existing embedded products.
• Design and modify analog, digital, mixed-signal, sensor-interface, wireless, and power circuitry.
• Develop schematics and review PCB layouts for performance and manufacturability.
• Board bring-up, functional verification, environmental and reliability testing, and debugging.
• Investigate field failures and hardware-vs-firmware issues; support manufacturing changes.
• Collaborate with procurement on component availability and second sourcing.
• Provide technical direction, design reviews, and mentoring for a small team.
