Shield AI is seeking an experienced Lead Harness Specialist to serve as the technical lead for the Hardware Test Harness Team. You will guide fabrication, integration, and troubleshooting of wire harnesses for V-BAT and X-BAT test operations while mentoring a team of harness technicians.

You will collaborate across Hardware Test, Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering to define standards, improve build processes, ensure quality, and develop reliable test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building wire harnesses or electrical systems in relevant industries.
• Experience leading technicians or acting as a technical lead on hardware builds.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on harness fabrication via crimping, soldering, shielding, splicing, labeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities for the Hardware Test Harness Team with mentorship.
• Establish and improve harness fabrication processes and quality standards.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and assemble production-quality harnesses.
• Integrate harnesses into test stands and laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot wiring issues and support test operations.
