Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Lead Technician to mentor junior technicians and oversee wind turbine maintenance in Satanta, KS. You’ll review manuals and diagrams to plan tasks, tools and parts, and coordinate daily work with the crew.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills, a safety mindset, and the ability to solve problems on site. Wind-energy experience and a technical degree are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of wind energy experience or 3+ years with an associate degree/tech cert.
  • Electrical or technical background required; BS in electrical/technical a plus.
  • Ability to mentor technicians and coordinate maintenance plans.

  • Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot components; assist with major components.

The Opportunity:

This is an onsite position out of Satanta, KS

Lead Technicians will safely mentor more junior technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, install components, and repair wind turbines, and turbine internal and external components. Lead Tech's review manuals and schematic diagrams to determine the tasks, tools, equipment, and parts needed and will coordinate Plan of Days, help troubleshoot complicated issues, and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the technicians.

What You'll Do at Enel:
  • Adherence to the company's values and behaviors as defined by the EGPNA policies and handbooks
  • Schedule completion of all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment in a timely manner to maximize generation
  • Installs, tests, maintains, and troubleshoots minor components and assist with some major components
  • Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary
  • Complete reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs
Who You Are:
  • Support regional Wind Maintenance activities, as needed
  • Assist with QA/QC activities
  • Work in conjunction with Technical Support for proactive repairs
  • Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures (ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO18001)
  • Assist with inventory control as needed
  • At times may assist with BOP activities
What You’ve Accomplished:
  • 5+ year's relevant experience in wind energy or
  • 3+ years related experience and associate degree/Tech School Certification or
  • B.S. Degree (electrical or technical) and 6 months or more of applicable wind experience
