Job summary

Enel North America, Inc. is seeking a Lead Wind Technician to oversee onsite maintenance in Satanta, Kansas.

The role involves mentoring junior technicians, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing wind turbine components, and coordinating daily maintenance using manuals and schematics. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in wind energy or 3+ years with related degree, and a technical background (associate or B.S.).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant wind energy experience.
• 3+ years with an associate degree/technical certification or a B.S. in electrical/technical.
• Mentor junior technicians and lead onsite maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians to safely inspect, troubleshoot, install components, and repair wind turbines.
• Review manuals and schematics to determine tasks, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Coordinate Plan of Days and oversee day-to-day technician operations.
• Supports QA/QC activities and collaborates with Technical Support for proactive repairs.

Our vision is ambitious, and we'll get there together.The Opportunity:This is an onsite position out of Satanta, KSLead Technicians will safely mentor more junior technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, install components, and repair wind turbines, and turbine internal and external components. Lead Tech’s review manuals and schematic diagrams to determine the tasks, tools, equipment, and parts needed and will coordinate Plan of Days, help troubleshoot complicated issues, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the technicians.What You'll Do at Enel:* Adherence to the company’s values and behaviors as defined by the EGPNA policies and handbooks* Schedule completion of all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment in a timely manner to maximize generation* Installs, tests, maintains, and troubleshoots minor components and assist with some major components* Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary* Complete reports and records associated with maintenance and repairsWho You Are:* Support regional Wind Maintenance activities, as needed* Assist with QA/QC activities* Work in conjunction with Technical Support for proactive repairs* Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures (ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO18001)* Assist with inventory control as needed* At times may assist with BOP activitiesWhat You've Accomplished:* 5+ year’s relevant experience in wind energy or* 3+ years related experience and associate degree/Tech School Certification or* B.S.
