Job summary

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a nutrition program professional to support the WIC program and satellite sites. You will assist the Program Director, develop care plans, and oversee high‑risk participants while coordinating education and referrals.

Responsibilities include orientation, enrollment, and documenting outcomes. A Bachelor’s in Nutrition, strong communication, and teamwork are required; bilingual ability is preferred. Typical schedule is Mon–Fri with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed.
• Able to work well with others in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in the overall operation of the WIC program and satellite sites.
• Develop and implement ICPs and oversee high risk care for participants.
• Provide oversight and guidance to CPA and Nutrition Assistant staff.
• Coordinate nutrition education including breastfeeding promotion and support.
• Refer high‑risk participants to health and social services as needed.
• Track progress and document outcomes for participants.
• Conduct program orientation and enroll clients into WIC health.
• Verify identity, income and residency for certification processes.
• Ensure efficient flow of assessment and education processes.
• Provide leadership in planning, conducting and evaluating participant-centered nutrition services.
• Mentor new LA staff and develop nutrition training for LA staff.
