Job summary

Public Health Solutions is seeking a Qualified Nutritionist to assess WIC eligibility, deliver nutrition education, and support clients through the enrollment process. The role includes practical nutrition services, ICPs development, and coordination with staff to improve health outcomes in a community setting.

Travel to other WIC centers in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx is required; bilingual Spanish is essential; the position offers a hybrid work schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Food and Nutrition with at least 18 nutrition credits.
• Two years of professional nutrition experience.
• Foreign degrees must be translated/verified.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document WIC eligibility for enrollment.
• Provide general WIC program knowledge to new participants.
• Assist in WIC program administration and document evaluation.
• Develop ICPs and oversee high-risk care for all participants.
• Provide guidance to CPA and Nutrition staff; use PCNE technique.
• Conduct PCNA to motivate participants and improve health/nutrition status.
• Take anthropometric and hematological measurements on site.
• Travel to other WIC centers as needed; attend trainings and meetings.
