Stantec is seeking a Wetland Scientist to lead delineation efforts in the Midwest and advance regulatory compliance for diverse projects. The role focuses on wetland delineations, ecological assessments, and coordination with clients and regulators in a busy, field-driven environment.

You will perform botanical surveys, habitat mapping, and endangered species assessments while contributing to data management and multi-disciplinary environmental studies. Travel and fieldwork are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science degree with 3–5 years of relevant wetland biology experience.
• Experience leading wetland delineations per US Army Corps of Engineers guidelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work long field hours in adverse weather.

Responsabilidades

• Lead wetland delineations in the Midwest.
• Conduct botanical surveys, habitat mapping, endangered species assessments.
• Prepare wetland delineation reports for clients and regulators.
• Support environmental permitting and compliance for federal/state requirements.
• Attend client/regulatory meetings and provide input.
• Data management and analysis.
• Possible wildlife surveys and ecological restoration tasks.
