Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental professional to join our ecology and wetland sciences team in the Midwest. The role involves wetland delineation, ecological assessments, and regulatory compliance for diverse projects across renewable energy, transmission, transportation, and private development.

Ideal candidates will lead delineations per US Army Corps regulations, conduct botanical surveys, and support permitting. Travel up to 75% and field work are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field with 3–5 years of experience.
Experience leading wetland delineations per US Army Corps of Engineers Manual and supplements.
Familiarity with Federal/state wetland and stream regulations.
Willingness to travel regionally up to 75% and work in the field.

Responsibilities

Lead wetland delineations in the Midwest region.
Botanical surveys, habitat mapping, and endangered species assessments.
Prepare wetland delineation and technical reports for clients/regulators.
Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for federal/state requirements.
Participate in multi-disciplinary environmental assessments.
Data management and analysis; attend client/regulatory meetings.
