Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year certificate from college or technical school.
• PIT Certification required; certification will be provided on hire.
• Minimum 3 years related manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Safety: uphold high safety standards and monitor others.
• Attendance: reliable, punctual attendance.
• Reading: interpret business and technical materials; writing: write procedures.
• Problem solving: handle practical problems with limited standardization.
• Analysis: interpret varied instructions and data.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding machine, gather work, read prints, stage work, weld parts.
• Comprehend and apply written and verbal instructions; produce quality parts safely.
• Communicate with coworkers and leadership; operate other fabrication equipment as directed.
• Oversee quality control in the fabrication department.
• Read tape measures to 1/32" and measure angles with protractor; keep area clean.
