Job summary

Baker Manufacturing Comp Any LLC Evansville, Wisconsin is seeking a Welder II to perform advanced fabrication, fit-up, and welding to engineering specifications. You will work with minimal supervision and help train less experienced welders.

Schedule is Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM–3:00 PM with mandatory overtime on Fridays as business needs require. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, MIG/TIG welding, pipe fitting, and maintaining quality for production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication.
• Experience fitting and welding complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
• AWS D1.1 or ASME Section IX GMAW certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and fabricate components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Independently fit up and weld pitless units and other complex assemblies.
• Perform cutting, threading pipe, thermal cutting, MIG/TIG welding, grinding, assembly, painting, and packaging.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Maintain high quality and productivity standards while working independently.
• Assist in training and mentoring Welder I employees.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to meet customer specifications.
