Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of HVAC piping, joining, and welding.
• Welding Certifications (A6G, carbon steel) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Measures and marks pipes for cutting and welding.
• Lays out full-scale drawings from blueprints.
• Plans pipe system layout and installation per specs.
• Selects materials for supports, hangers, and hydraulics.
• Attaches pipes to structures using hangers, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Inspects and tests installed systems and pipelines for leaks.
• Assembles pipe sections and fittings with appropriate tools.
• Troubleshoots and locates issues, escalating as needed.
• Mentors less experienced tradespeople.
