Job summary

Quad/Graphics in Hartford, WI is seeking an experienced Web Offset Press Operator (Second Press) to join our Hartford manufacturing team. You will work alongside the First Press Operator to produce high-quality printed products, assist with press setup, monitor print quality, and troubleshoot equipment on a 12-hour rotating schedule.

Experience with Harris/Heidelberg/Goss/Manroland web offset presses is highly preferred; familiarity with sheetfed offset, flexographic, and gravure presses is also

Qualifications

• Previous commercial printing press experience is required.
• Experience operating web offset presses is preferred.
• Candidates with experience on sheetfed offset, flexographic, gravure, or other presses are encouraged to apply.
• Experience operating Harris, Heidelberg, Goss, Manroland or similar web offset presses is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions.
• Good understanding of web offset printing processes, color control, registration, and print quality standards.
• English reading, writing and comprehension to safely perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Re-thread paper and adjust tension during web breaks.

Web Offset Press Operator (Second Press)

Location: Hartford, WI

Pay: Starting at $22.00 / hour or more, based on relevant experience and work history.

Paid Relocation: Available for qualified candidates relocating from 100+ miles away.

Shift Options Available:

• 12-hour rotating schedule (days and nights)

Schedule: 12-hour compressed work schedule (3/4 or 4/3 rotation), working only 182 days per year while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.

Experience Required: Previous commercial printing press operating experience is required. Experience operating web offset presses is preferred; however, we welcome candidates with experience operating sheetfed offset, flexographic, gravure, or other commercial printing press platforms who are interested in expanding their skills.

Position Summary

What We're Looking For

• Previous commercial printing press experience is required.

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to safely perform job duties, follow work instructions, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
