Job summary

ZEISS seeks an experienced project leader to drive end-to-end management of advanced spectacle lens development programs in Dublin, CA. You will coordinate R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory and supply chain teams to deliver high-precision, customer-focused solutions.

You will translate complex customer requirements into actionable plans, manage risks, and ensure quality, schedule and cost targets while collaborating with world-class engineers and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience managing complex technical development projects.
• Experience in optics, medical devices, consumer electronics, or similar high-precision industries with direct customer interaction.
• Strong ability to structure ambiguity and turn evolving requirements into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for advanced spectacle lens development programs from concept through industrialization.
• Lead multi-year new product and new technology development programs with high technical uncertainty and strict criteria.
• Define project plans, milestones, and deliverables aligned with internal standards and governance.
• Act as central coordination point between R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supply chain teams.
• Proactively manage scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies in a fast-moving development environment.
• Drive structured communication with internal teams and external stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Anticipate issues early, escalate effectively, and guide teams toward pragmatic high-quality solutions.
• Maintain focus on performance, cost, and quality targets with disciplined reviews.
