Job summary

Holtec in Orrville, OH is seeking a Machine Operator to support production across Billet, Material Handling, Extrusion, MAO, and Rolling Mill operations. You will operate equipment, monitor processes, perform quality checks, and help move materials to meet quality and efficiency goals.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing or related fields, the ability to read instructions, and strong mechanical aptitude. Overtime and shift flexibility are common in this hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or material handling experience.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production documents, and safety procedures.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, or similar inspection tools preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Support production operations within Billet, Material Handling, Extrusion, MAO, and Rolling Mill departments as assigned.
• Load and unload raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Monitor machine operations and production processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with operating standards.
• Perform routine quality inspections using measuring devices and gauges to verify product specifications and dimensions.
• Record production data, operational information, and quality results accurately and completely.
• Identify and communicate equipment, quality, or process issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Perform basic machine setup, cleaning, lubrication, and operational adjustments as required.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other equipment to support production activities.
• Assist with material movement, inventory organization, and staging of materials for production.
• Support changeovers, equipment preparation, and production startup activities.
