Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator in Corpus Christi, TX. You will develop accurate estimates for water and wastewater facilities, assess scope and constructability, and collaborate with operations from bid through handoff.

You will evaluate risks, prepare budgets, and support buyout and project setup to ensure successful execution. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of means, methods, sequencing, and productivity in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
