Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking a PE-licensed engineer with a minimum of five years of experience to lead design activities, coordinate projects, and ensure QA/QC across deliverables. The role involves preparing construction documents, managing budgets, and mentoring engineers within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

The position requires proficiency in site layout, grading, and storm water management, with experience in Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an ABET-accredited engineering field.
• Minimum of five years’ job-related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent planning and design tasks and reviews work of others.
• Develops construction documents and delivers projects to completion.
• Maintains collaborative relationships across departments and with project teams.
• Conducts QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Assists in developing schedules, proposals, and labor-hour estimates.
• Communicates scope and progress effectively to stakeholders.
• Prepares design calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Manages design budgets for routine scopes of work.
• Mentors engineering associates and interns for technical growth.
