Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring in Houston, TX is seeking a restoration professional to perform water damage mitigation and restoration services, lead a work crew, and ensure thorough drying and cleanup. The role requires 2 years of restoration experience and ability to lift heavy loads.

Certification is preferred (IICRC), with on-call rotation and a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and adherence to drying guidelines. Competitive compensation and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required.
• 2 years of restoration experience.
• Water restoration and structural drying knowledge.
• Ability to lead and direct a crew.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics).
• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation and restoration services offered by the company.
• Water extraction.
• Perform demolition tasks.
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged.
• Place and monitor drying equipment.
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques.
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set-up procedures.
• Set up containment, decontaminating, and monitor remediation equipment.
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown.
• Effectively lead a work crew.
