Job summary

EPCOR USA is seeking a Lead Water Operator to oversee advanced treatment systems, supervise Operators I-III, and ensure compliance with EPA standards. This role blends technical expertise with leadership to deliver safe, reliable water and wastewater services for the community.

You’ll monitor SCADA and telemetry, perform lab analyses, manage chemical feeds, and mentor a team through on-call rotations and shift leadership, contributing to EPCOR’s mission and safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TCEQ Water or Wastewater license preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain plant process equipment to meet standards.
• Collect samples and perform tests (pH, conductivity, BOD, COD, DO, TSS).
• Analyze water quality and adjust processes to maintain compliance.
• Lead and mentor Operators I-III and participate in on-call rotations.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain documentation.
