Job summary

Pennoni seeks a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects from our Tampa office. The role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance, with coordination across multiple clients including municipalities and private developers.

You will oversee design development, reports, cost estimates, and regulatory permitting, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring on-time project delivery. Ideal candidates will have a Civil or Environmental Engineering background, 8+ years of experience,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required or equivalent.
8+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in wastewater/wet utility projects.
PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of support staff and senior engineers on multiple water/wastewater projects, including design, bidding, contract administration and construction support.
Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region (focus on PA & NJ) to develop design criteria for water and wastewater facilities.
Design and develop project plans, technical reports, cost estimates and specifications for treatment and conveyance works, coordinating with regulatory agencies for permitting.
Manage project scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets; communicate progress with team and clients.
Occasionally perform field data collection and site visits; provide construction administration support as needed; mentor staff to improve team performance.
