Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a high-performing team in Shippensburg. The role emphasizes safety, a positive attitude, and supporting supervisors to meet productivity goals.

You will help train clamp truck operators, assist with process improvements, and ensure accurate material handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401K plan, and an associate referral program.

Qualifications

• 4 years of warehouse experience required.
• 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software required.

Responsibilities

• Primary trainer for Clamp Truck operators (new hires or retraining).
• Root Cause investigations of product placement and Associate handling.
• Identify and audit associate processes and coach on improvement.
• Provide process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor.
• Serve as an expert in warehouse functions.
• Lead and support Safety and Well Being efforts on shift.
• Load and unload trailers with an electric clamp truck.
• Open and close dock doors.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Comply with all safety requirements and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Perform quality control and remove damaged products.
• Communicate with associates from other shifts.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine tasks.
• Record numbers of units moved on production sheets.
• Read production schedules and orders to determine items to move or distribute.
• Fill requisitions and distribute materials and stock items.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
