Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited, an Australian-based gold producer, is seeking a Lead Warehouse Technician to oversee on-site warehouse operations at our Alaska camp. The role involves coordinating stock, deliveries, and a team of technicians to ensure reliable supply and inventory control in challenging remote conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping/receiving goods or maintaining inventory.
• Warehouse environment experience.
• Experience operating forklift, articulating loaders, telehandler forklift.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular stock takes.
• Attend daily pre-start meetings to ensure effective communication and safety.
• Accept deliveries from suppliers/freight companies.
• Maintain general day to day stores management.
• Deliver consumables where required.
• Facilitate transportation of high priority deliverables to site from local suppliers.
• Forecast future consumables requirements with management.
• Assist with completing reports and issuance.
• Mentor Warehouse Technicians.
• Maintain training records for current and new employees.
• Train incoming Warehouse Technicians.
