Job summary

Trane Technologies in Florida is seeking a Warehouse Associate to lead receipt, staging, storage and delivery of HVAC equipment on-site. You will coordinate warehousing activities with customer service and local transport, operate material handling equipment, and ensure accurate inventory records.

The role requires an HS diploma and forklift experience, with potential overtime. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided, including health insurance and a 401K match.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous Warehouse and power industrial vehicle experience such as a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues.
• Using material handling equipment, inbound and outbound shipments, loads and unloads trucks, locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations, log inbound freight (UPS, FedEx, Airborne, DHL).
• Safely operates assigned material handling equipment.
• Ensures equipment in use is inspected and in safe operating condition.
• Reports accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory.
• Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting.
• Receives material into inventory, move material between locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations.
• Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data entries in electronic records.
• Resolves discrepancies with material quantities and part numbers.
• Delivers high priority materials ahead of routine materials.
• Practices safe material handling techniques.
• Completes training including safety, certification and testing.
• Assists with training and mentoring of warehouse associates.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly.

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Lead and performs various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of HVAC equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues
• Using material handling equipment, inbound and outbound shipments, loads and unloads trucks, locates and picks material into/outof warehouse racks and between locations, Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL) Work with local and regional freight companies (setup times, hot shots, etc.)
• Safely operates assigned material handling equipment.
• Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition.
• Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory
• Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting
• Receives material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required.
• Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location;
• Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, and part numbers
• Locates parts ensuring that pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking and equipment are not damaged, and material is not left in aisles.
• Satisfies demands of internal customers to include the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to or from the supported shop.
• Delivers high priority materials ahead of routine materials previously requested.
• Practices safe material handling techniques.
• Completes training as required, including safety training, certification and testing.
• Reinforces culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely perform all functions of the job.
• Assists with the training and mentoring of warehouse associates
• Performs housekeeping as assigned
• May be required to purchase warehouse supplies to maintain building
• Assist in annual warehouse inventory
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
• Must be able to regularly lift 25-50 pounds

Education/Experience:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous Warehouse and power industrial vehicle experience such as a forklift
