Job summary

FHI is seeking an experienced Back-Up Lead to supervise unloading and coordinate daily warehouse activities at our Connecticut distribution center. The role includes overseeing staff, ensuring safety, and handling administrative reporting to the corporate office.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• Combination of leadership, organization, problem-solving, and technical skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the warehouse department.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders like suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Adaptability and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and customer service to meet customer demands.
• In a fast-paced environment, safely and efficiently unload tractor trailers delivering products to our distribution warehouses.
• Use a variety of forklifts to remove products from trailers.
• Break down pallets and restack cases onto new pallets – this is where the manual labor comes in!
• All other duties as assigned.
