Job summary

Freight Handlers is seeking an experienced Back-Up Lead to supervise unloading assignments and coordinate activities in our fast-paced warehouse. You will oversee a team of handlers, ensure efficient unloading of trailers, and help with daily reporting to the corporate office while upholding FHI policies.

We offer production pay or base hourly rate, daily allowance for back-up duties, equipment training, and strong opportunities for internal promotion in a full-time role with various shift times

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and customers.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail; follow directions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Adaptability to high-pressure situations.
• Lead unloading activities and coordinate with handlers.
• Unload tractor trailers safely using forklifts; break down pallets and restack onto new pallets.
• Complete administrative paperwork reporting daily activity to the corporate office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
