Job summary

CarParts.com is seeking a Warehouse Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives at the La Salle, IL distribution center. This full-time role partners with DC leadership and the Safety Director to implement environmental, health, and safety policies, train staff, and maintain compliance across shifts.

You will conduct inspections, manage access badges, and drive a proactive safety culture through risk mitigation and corrective actions, requiring strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety in distribution center environments.
• Exhibits strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
• OSHA certifications preferred (10/30 hour).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety awareness and culture within the distribution center.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain safety training records and conduct safety sessions.
• Inspect working conditions and supervise safety audits.
• Coordinate investigations and safety committee meetings.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
