GEODIS Roanoke location is seeking a stockroom/inventory associate responsible for planning stockroom layouts, advising on item care, and conducting regular inventory functions. You will review records for accuracy, execute cycle counts, and report on stock levels to managers.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to procedures. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of related experience, is PC literate with Outlook, Word and Excel, and can read and write routine reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and storage areas.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for stock discrepancies.
• Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Sets cycle counts and resolves discrepancies.
• Reports inventory accuracy to management.
• Schedules work for inventories.
• Traces history of items to determine discrepancies and remedies.
• Determines work procedures and assigns duties.
• Issues instructions and monitors compliance.
• Improves efficiency and standardizes procedures.
