Job summary

Amazon in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Lead Associate to join our fastest delivery operation. This role requires open availability seven days a week and flexibility to work at sites within 10 miles of the primary Operations site as needed.

You will lead, motivate, and train the team, manage processes, safety, and quality, and ensure on-time customer deliveries. The position involves moving between areas, lifting up to 49 pounds, and working a varied schedule at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• High school or equivalent
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push/pull/squat/bend/reach

Responsibilities

• Support, motivate, and model desired behavior for the rest of the team
• Manage operational processes, safety, quality, performance, and customer delivery promises following the Regional Area Manager guidance
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized workspace
• Provide ongoing training in areas including system and equipment knowledge, quality training, general operations
• Provide feedback on processes and standards, serving as the escalation point to assist associates and peers
• Maintain a key to the site, and open and close following proper procedures
• Handle a wide assortment of products including produce, meat, seafood, and alcoholic beverages
• Receive truck deliveries
• Collaborate with both associates and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
• Participate in associate onboarding as required
• Ensure consistent execution of product workflow processes
• Perform front-line duties whenever necessary
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience and operations
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and count product
• Perform additional duties as assigned
