Odyssey Warehouse Intermodal in the Golden/Denver/Windsor area is seeking a Lead Warehouse Operator to coordinate forklift operations, lead a small team, and ensure safe, efficient warehouse workflows. The role combines hands-on forklift work with supervisory duties and a strong focus on safety and quality.
You will oversee daily shipping/receiving, complete pre-trip inspections, and support training of temporary staff, with a 40-hour workweek and overtime as scheduled.

The Lead Warehouse Operator is responsible for coordinating forklift operations and supporting safe, efficient warehouse operations. This role combines hands-on forklift operation with team leadership, workflow coordination, shipping and receiving support, and a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.
Coordinate and oversee daily forklift operations within the warehouse.
Safely operate assigned forklifts, including equipment rated up to 40,000 lbs., 15,000 lbs., and 6,500 lbs.
Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks using proper forklift procedures.
Complete required pre-trip forklift inspections at the beginning of each shift.
Change propane tanks as needed; most equipment is electric.
Operate machinery and tools safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality of work.
Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
Help streamline workflow and reduce downtime.
Implement best practices for forklift operation and material handling.
Participate in training temporary staff.
Maintain safe working conditions and follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
Wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, and other assigned safety equipment.
Keep warehouse floors clean, organized, and safe.
Immediately report incidents, accidents, damages, claims, mechanical issues, and material concerns to management.
Follow company SOPs and procedures reviewed during training.
Complete required shipping and receiving paperwork, including manifests.
Maintain consistent communication with the Shipping/Receiving office.
Support the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the shipping and receiving process.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to operate a forklift with proper and documented training.
Ability to operate a pneumatic nail gun and tensioner with proper and documented training.
Strong understanding of safe material‑handling practices.
Strong teamwork, communication, time-management, and accountability skills.
Ability to work reliably and maintain punctual attendance.
Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour
This is a full-time position. Associates must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes; the position is expected to average approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime required as scheduled.
This position works in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, shavings, odors, fumes, temperature and noise fluctuations, and varying vibration levels.
The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of the hands and fingers for grasping, picking, and pinching. The employee must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.
The position requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend English, as well as adequate sight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and hearing to safely work around moving equipment.
This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to a 5-panel drug test, including marijuana.
