Job summary

Viking Corp is seeking an Experienced Warehouse Lead in Fort Lauderdale, FL to supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and material handling. You will ensure efficient logistics coordination, safety, and quality standards to support on‑time customer delivery.

You will lead a team, coordinate with Customer Service and Fabrication, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high accuracy and safety compliance across all warehouse

  • Intermediate PC proficiency and experience with warehouse/logistics systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and logistics coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train warehouse staff across core functions: shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material handling.
  • Process and track transactions using RF scanners, pick tickets, and warehouse management systems.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and staging of outgoing shipments.
  • Audit inbound and outbound shipments to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load/unload materials.
  • Coordinate daily with Customer Service and Fabrication teams to meet delivery timelines and service expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and company policies.
  • Execute cycle counts and manage inventory accuracy, including backorder fulfillment.
  • Troubleshoot shipping/receiving discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize systems such as JD Edwards, Varsity, and rate-shopping tools for logistics and shipping operations.
  • Coordinate freight logistics, including carrier selection, LTL shipments, and delivery scheduling.
