Job summary

API PA is seeking energetic individuals for canvassing efforts in Pennsylvania, focusing on Asian Pacific Islander communities. You will engage voters in person, use provided technology, and report conversations through the canvassing platform.

Training is provided, and opportunities exist for meaningful work in policy and advocacy spaces. Positions are temporary through late August to early November 2026, with shifts totaling 30–33 hours per week and a starting hourly rate of $23.

Qualifications

• Vaccinated against COVID-19 and boosted; exemptions available for religious/medical reasons.
• Physically able to walk up to 2.5 miles per shift.
• Access to a cell phone and vehicle, with potential transportation support between canvassing sites.
• Some tech literacy with cell phones/tablets, Google Maps, and data entry using an app.
• Conversational fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Door to Door Canvassing using MiniVAN Canvassing app to engage with voters.
• Track conversations in the canvassing platform.
• Participate in canvassing training and debriefing sessions.
• Attend organization-wide meetings and events as directed by supervisor.
• Other duties as necessary.
