The YMCA of Dane County is seeking a Lead Volleyball Instructor Referee to work with the Sports & Programs Director, delivering and expanding volleyball programs, leading practices, supporting coaches, refereeing league games, and fostering a positive, organized environment focused on player development.

• Volleyball Instruction: Execute program curriculum and session plans; teach serving, passing, setting, hitting, defense, positioning and game play; provide instruction and feedback.
• Assistant Coach Leadership: Lead and communicate with the partnered Assistant Volleyball Coach; delegate responsibilities and provide guidance.
• Volleyball Refereeing: Referee YMCA youth league games; apply rules fairly; manage game flow; promote safety and sportsmanship.

Lead Volleyball Instructor RefereeDepartment Sports Reports to Sports & Programs Director Position Part Time Primary Focus Youth Volleyball Position OverviewThe Lead Volleyball Instructor Referee will work alongside the Sports & Programs Director to deliver and grow quality volleyball programming This position will lead instructional programs support assistant coaches referee league games and help create a positive organized environment focused on player development The immediate focus will be launching Volleyball Skills Drills & 3v3 beginning November 4th

Key Responsibilities

• Volleyball Instruction Execute program curriculum and session plansTeach serving passing setting hitting defense positioning and game playProvide instruction and feedback appropriate for different skill levelsKeep sessions active organized and engaging
• Assistant Coach Leadership Lead and communicate with the partnered Assistant Volleyball CoachDelegate responsibilities and provide guidance during practices and programsModel strong coaching and professionalism
• Volleyball Refereeing Referee YMCA youth volleyball league gamesApply rules fairly and consistentlyManage game flow while promoting safety and sportsmanshipCommunicate professionally with players and coaches
• Program Development Work with the Sports & Programs Director to strengthen and expand volleyball programmingProvide ideas and feedback on curriculum equipment and program structureHelp develop future clinics academies camps leagues and other volleyball opportunities

Salary 17 1800 hour
