Job summary

Howard Community College (HCC) seeks a part-time Videographer/Editor to lead Dragon Media productions, shooting, delivering, and archiving high-quality content for broadcasts and events.

The role covers live stream production, continuity-style editing, and advanced post-production, including sound mixing in a mixed-platform environment. Strong knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio is required, with a Bachelor's degree and several years of broadcast experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional television production work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant experience shooting for broadcast in a recognized facility.
• Advanced knowledge of cameras, shooting formats, file interoperability and lighting.
• Advanced understanding of camera audio recording from a variety of sources.
• Experience with non-linear editing in a mixed platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and operates video production equipment to achieve preset goals and performs continuity editing.
• Assembles and sets up equipment in the studio and field, including microphones, lights, and cameras.
• Edits both long and short form video projects for both picture and sound for broadcast.
• Proven experience as a Live Stream Production Technician or similar role.
