Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital is seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician to step into a leadership role. You will mentor the technician team, train new staff, and help maintain high standards of patient care in a busy practice that treats dogs, cats, exotics, and wildlife.

As a leader, you will balance clinical duties with staff development, help onboard new hires, and drive efficient workflows. Flexibility for varying hours and some weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a veterinary technician.
• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong ability to teach and coach team members.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborative leadership style emphasizing accountability.
• Flexibility for varying hours and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise the technician team in daily hospital operations.
• Train and mentor new and existing staff on procedures and protocols.
• Onboard new hires with hands-on guidance.
• Identify training needs and provide constructive feedback.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills with compassionate patient care.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager and Lead Doctor to maintain workflows.
• Coordinate technician responsibilities and prioritize patient needs.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and clear communication.
• Ensure safety procedures and best practices are followed.
• Assist with clinical duties as needed.
