Garden Oaks Veterinary Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician to join a growing team. You will lead day-to-day technician operations, mentor staff, and support high-quality patient care in a modern hospital setting.

The role emphasizes mentoring, teamwork, and process improvement while remaining hands-on with patient care across exams, anesthesia, dental procedures, and radiography.

Qualifications

• 3+ years veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
• Previous lead, supervisory, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
• LVT credential preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the veterinary technician team.
• Mentor, train, and support technicians and veterinary assistants.
• Help ensure consistent patient care and adherence to hospital protocols.
• Partner with veterinarians and the Practice Manager to support daily hospital operations.
• Assist with exams, diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient recovery care.
• Educate pet owners on medications, home care, and preventive health.
