Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine, research, medical education, or healthcare.
Ability to lead teams and mentor junior technicians; manage complex anesthetic and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

Meet with leadership to plan education sessions and ensure lab supplies.
Supervise lab setup for education courses and coordinate with course coordinators.
Perform technical lab procedures, anesthesia, surgery, and postoperative care.
Monitor care of research animals and assist with surgical procedures.
Coordinate daily/weekly schedules of procedures.
Maintain equipment and troubleshoot instruments and software.
Record observations and ensure data quality.
Update procedures and assist with IACUC protocol changes.
Train staff in proper use of lab equipment.
